Supporting the communities in need
On August 3, 2008, C&K Trucking continued its strategy to give back to the community by delivering three containers of needed school supplies from the old Warren County High School in Front Royal, Virginia to from the Virginia Inland Port as well as from the Norfolk Southern Terminal in Norfolk, Virginia to the APM Terminals at no charge. The Rotary Club of Front Royal approached C&K to provide the drayage service as it was shipping three containers of school supplies to help hundreds of children in Costa Rica learn in a better environment.

In addition on August 29, 2008, C&K Trucking delivered several needed Refrigerated Vans to Misericordia for its annual Family Fest Event. C&K has been providing this service in conjunction with Martrac, a UPS Subsidiary that owns the refrigerated vans, for several years at no charge. Misericordia is a home for 550 physically and/or mentally handicapped children and young adults.

Mike Burton, President of C&K stated “We are honored to be asked to help such good causes. It continues with our Corporate strategy to support the Communities and people in need”.
