C&K Trucking President, Michael Burton, received the "Bum of the Year" award from Misericordia, a not-for-profit organization which supports 550 physically and mentally handicapped children and adults. Despite the name of this honor, this is actually the highest honor Misericordia bestows on those who have contributed greatly to their organization. Mike has served on their board for years and has made their organization a priority for fundraising and support throughout C&K. For example, C&K has raised more than $38,000 for Misericordia via Misericordia's Annual Golf Outing held in May of 2009. This remarkable achievement would not have been possible without the support of C&K's employees, customers and vendors who contributed greatly to help those less fortunate.

During the awards ceremony, Mike expressed his appreciation to Misericordia for this wonderful honor. He accepted the award on behalf of everyone at C&K and expressed his sincere thanks to all who helped make their efforts to support Misericordia such a huge success.
